I am not a big fan of poems. When I saw this book, I thought “Great someone else who thinks they can write poetry”
I compare all poetry to that of Garcia Lorca, so extreme few make the grade.
S.J. Rivera’s makes the grade. In fact, surpasses the grade. This isn’t just normal poetry. This is search your soul poetry. Looking into you inner self. Your inner Evil self. That self that we all try so desperately to keep hidden for fear of judgment. You won’t be able to look at your neighbors the same after kind of poetry.
Towards the back of the book are a couple of stories that if nothing else, will make you wonder how you have made it so far without exploding and being sent to the loony bin. They hit you right where it hurts. Makes you think about who you (and everyone else) really are.
This isn’t a book for the faint at heart, or for those content to living life in a bubble. This book gives you no choice but to face reality and remind you of how much of ourselves we hold back. It forces you to look at people without those annoying rose colored glasses we all love wearing.
I will be recommending this book to everyone that will listen. It is a great read. Not only because it is written well, but because it writes about the truth (whether we admit to it or not).

Wow, that’s an intense question! Physically I’m not really thrilled with what I see in the mirror, however when I look deeply into myself and within my soul’s windows, I see someone who is kind, loves other people and wants to give as much of herself as possible.
Thanks for the contest!

Great question. I’m not a fan of how I look physically but when I look at myself in the mirror, I can see a kind and intelligent young woman who likes to help others. I see someone determined to be happy in life and follow her dreams.
Thanks for this awesome giveaway!

What Do You See When You Really Look At Yourself In The Mirror.
What I See When I Look In The Mirror Is Someone Who Doesn’t Think Very Much Of Herself. Someone Who Chooses To Take The Path Of Least Resistance In Order To Keep the Peace. I Usually Try Not To Look Too Closely Into Any Mirrors Lest I See Something I Am Trying Hard To Forget About..
